Classic Culinaire is a certified Green Business in Marin County. This means that we use compostable products in our food presentation whenever possible and compost all of our food waste during production. All paper products in our kitchen are made with at least 30% recycled paper and our cleaning supplies are all environmentally friendly. In our shared kitchen space, our green business practice has spread to our colleagues as a group effort to make positive change.

When there is more food than the client can keep, we donate our leftovers to Extra Food Marin. Extra Food ensures that members of our community who need food receive it. Gay Wine Weekend was created and founded by Mark Vogler and Gary
Saperstein. Their vision is to bring locals together to eat, drink, dance and raise
money for Sonoma County Face 2 Face Foundation. Due to the support of the
community this event has grown significantly, bringing in tens of thousands of dollars to Sonoma County and those who need it most.
Classic Culinaire has been lucky enough to have partnered with Out in the Vineyard to become the preferred caterer of Gay Wine Weekend. Our dedicated team of
volunteers have put in endless hours time and food to help his event be the
most successful it can be. Recently, Gay Wine Weekend was voted "Best Summer Event" by Gay Travel Awards.
Back in 2015, Classic Culinaire founder and Executive Chef Chad Carlstedt heard of this little bike ride event that takes its riders from San Francisco to Los Angeles, called AIDS/LifeCycle. After hearing the stories of how this foundation impacts the community, he couldn’t help but get involved. Not only did Chef Chad sign up to ride 545 miles to raise money for HIV/Aids research and prevention, he and his team at Classic Culiniare have donated endless hours and food to raise money for his amazing and important cause.
